We support adults impacted by Brain Injury, resulting from, but not limited to stroke, road traffic accident, trips and falls. Our aim is to improve day-to-day life for every individual we work with; to improve their confidence, independence, empower them to access community assets, to socialise, enhance their wellbeing, provide them with tools and techniques to manage their symptoms and to support them in setting and achieving person centred goals.

Our Day Service provides opportunities for people to relearn skills, allow them to connect with others and empower them to forge a new path beyond brain injury.
Facilitated by our experienced support workers, group sessions include, but are not limited to, enhancing cognition and memory; adapted sports and seated exercise; guided meditation and playing games. Individuals can practice and develop new skills, build a sense of self, develop fine motor skills, improve and enrich communication, build confidence, reduce anxiety and inspire and support others.
At Headway Cambridge and Peterborough, we understand that one-to-one support in the community is sometimes required to help enable individuals with brain injury to re-learn skills.

This service focuses on overcoming barriers the individual is facing in relation to their independence, their ability to take part in community life, their capacity to return to a form of employment or education, and their capability to manage their symptoms of brain injury in day-to-day life.
